We are delighted to introduce a very special new member of our school community at St Mary’s Primary School, Aughlisnafin… Freddie Finn! 👋
Freddie Finn is our new Well-Being Mascot, and he will be helping us promote positive wellbeing across the school throughout the year. Each month, Freddie will send a special message to the children with a new well-being focus to help us look after our feelings, friendships and safety.
Through Freddie’s messages and activities, pupils will explore important themes such as:
- Being a kind and supportive friend
- Looking after our mental health and wellbeing
- Staying safe both in school and online
- Learning ways to stay calm and manage worries
- Developing confidence and positive thinking
These monthly initiatives will support our preventative curriculum, helping children build the skills they need to stay happy, healthy and safe.
Keep an eye out for Freddie Finn’s letters and challenges across the school as we work together to make St Mary’s a place where everyone feels supported, valued and ready to thrive.
