🎉 Fancy Dress Day – School Anniversary Celebration 🎉💚 🏫
To mark a special milestone in our school's history, we enjoyed a vibrant Fancy Dress Day as part of our anniversary celebrations. As always our P2/3 pupils embraced it with creativity and enthusiasm.
Children came dressed in styles from the 1920s, 1960s, and various decades in between. From newsboy caps to flower power and disco glam, the school was alive with colour, music, and laughter. The costumes sparked curiosity and conversations about how fashion, culture, and daily life have changed over the years.
We enjoyed a walk to the old school site ~ Aughlisnafin National School. This reflective journey allowed us to compare the past with the present, gaining a deeper appreciation for how far our school has come. We discussed the differences in classrooms, resources, and even playground games, fostering a sense of connection to the generations before us.
To conclude the day, the children shared what they loved most. Their reflections were heartwarming with one message standing out above all:
The heart of our school is friendship – Finn friends forever!
