This site offers a glimpse into the life and work of St Mary’s Primary School, Aughlisnafin - a school community of which we are immensely proud. As Acting Principal, my vision for St Mary’s is captured in our motto: “Engaging hearts, inspiring minds and serving our community.”

Engaging hearts means that we place the child at the centre of all we do. We nurture each pupil’s spiritual, moral, social and physical development within a caring Catholic ethos. We are proud of our warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued and respected, and where positive relationships underpin daily school life.

Inspiring minds reflects our commitment to high-quality teaching and meaningful learning experiences. We provide a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum that encourages curiosity, creativity and independence. Our aim is to equip every child with the confidence, skills and resilience they need to flourish - not only during their time in primary school, but as lifelong learners.

Serving our community highlights the strong partnerships that enrich our school. We value our close collaboration with parents, parish and the wider community, as well as our links with local secondary and grammar schools. Together, we foster a spirit of respect, service and belonging, helping our pupils understand their role both locally and globally.
